LONDONDERRY, N.H., June 11, 2018 – L3 Warrior Sensor Systems announced today that it has been selected by the Italian Ministry of Defence to provide fusion night vision goggles as part of the country’s Soldier Modernization program. Italy is the ninth NATO country, including the United States, to purchase L3’s fusion technology.
“We are excited to add Italy to our growing list of fusion customers across the globe,” said Serge Buchakjian, General Manager of International Solutions for Warrior Sensor Systems. “Our fusion technology delivers an operational advantage to the warfighter that enables them to locate, identify and engage targets at night and in adverse weather conditions.”
Fusion technology enables the warfighter to switch from a thermal visual display to a traditional image-intensified display, or a combination of the two, without changing or adding a clip-on component to their goggle. Warrior Sensor Systems’ suite of fusion technology includes the Fusion Goggle System, the Fusion Goggle Enhanced and the Enhanced Night Vision Goggle, which is currently fielded by the U.S. Army.
